NOW FOR THE LAST ONE . .

AN infant school at Peterlee, Co, Durham, which will he opened this week, forms the second phase of the three-school building programme of Fr. John V. Burns and the parishioners of Our Lady of the Rosary. It will accommodate about 160 pupils.

Earlier this year the junior mixed school, which accommodates 240 pupils, was also opened, and a secondary modern school is to be built alongside these two buildings.

THE VERNACULAR SOCIETY

has elected Fr, Michael Winter, of Cobham (Surrey), as chairman. At Monday's A.G.M. an increase in membership of 282 was reported, making total membership 671 (including two bishops and over 200 priests.
