Salesians Train for Trades

There has been an interesting development at the Salesian School of Agriculture and Allied Trades at Blaisdon, Gloucestershire. A building and construction department was commenced in the beginning of the school year, with the object of preparing boys for the building trade under expert guidance. The section is proving very popular; its aim is to give the trainees th-e most practical instruction possible; the course -rimprises the elements of constructional woodwork, use of tools, elements of building in brick and reinforced con

crete, constructional ironwork. The Ministry of Works has granted a building licence for essential work in the form of a new dormitory to accommodate more boys, and the entire work will be carried out by the new building con struction department
