Chaplain Killed in Italy

Fr, Edward Richardson, curate in St. Mary's, Barrow-in-Furness. horn 1935-40, has been killed in the Italian fighting.

Fr. Richardson, a native of Manchester, attended St. Cuthbert's School, Blackpool. He studied for the Priesthood at Upholland and in Paris, and was ordained by the Archbishop of Paris in 1935. After a short time as minor professor at Upluilland he took up parish work at Barrow. Since joining the Forces he has. been Mentioned in Despatches.
