MORE ANGLICAN clergy have announced their resignations and their intention to join the personal ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham.At least five more Church of England clergy have told their parishes that they will join the ordinariate. Fr Ronald Crane of Emmanuel, Wylde Green, London, Fr David Elliott of Holy Trinity Reading, Fr Simon Heans of St Barnabas Beckenham, Fr Lee Bennett of South Benfleet, Chelmsford and Fr Jeff Woolnough of St Peter and St Paul, Hockley announced their intentions to become members of the Church. A number of them have also announced the dates of their or dinations to the Catholic priesthood which will take place after their reception into the Church during Holy Week with their ordinariate groups. There are now around 25 ordinariate groups seeking to take up the offer made in Pope Benedict XVI’s 2009 Apostolic Constitution: Anglicanorum coetibus.
