If possible, don't miss one of London's best and most original children's shows. It is currently on at The King's Road Theatre, and it is called Captain Pugwash.
It is of course the stage reincarnation of the well known Television character, much beloved of my own six-year-old.
Captain Pugwash has been described as a "cowardy-custard" cap tain, maybe he is. Herein lies his humanity and charm.
The ingenuity behind his varied adventures in this particular episode is that of John Kennett and John Ryan. The latter needs no introduction to Catholic Herald readers; and his originality and skill need little stressing. His considerable talents are abundantly evident in the King's Road.
