A LEADING Central American Jesuit will be giving the Archbishop Romero lecture this March.
Fr Juan Hernández Pico SJ, a theologian and social scientist, will be speaking in London, Salford, Newcastle and Edinburgh. Fr Hernández Pico lived through the Sandinista revolution in Nicaragua and was a friend of the six Jesuits murdered in 1989.
He is a professor of theology at the Jesuit University in San Salvador. His lecture will be entitled: “Romero and the Social Gospel – the challenge for us today.” The lectures run from March 2226 and are organised by the Archbishop Romero Trust and Cafod.
