CHILDREN AT St Mary’s Hall, the prep school for Stonyhurst in Lancashire, were enthralled by the illustrator of Bob the Builder when he visited the Lancashire school.
Curtis Jobling sketched their hero at high-speed while explaining his role as an illustrator and author. Mr Jobling, who works in the media, also responded to their suggestions for cartoon dragons, sharks and werewolves.
He went on to read extracts from his latest book Wereworld, a bloodthirsty tale which captivated the youngsters. After a book signing session Mr Jobling donated his signed drawings to the school. Bob the Builder will hang in pride of place.

Bob the Builder is a British children's stopmotion television character created by Keith Chapman. In the original series Bob appears as a building contractor specialising in masonry in a stop-motion animated programme with his colleague, Wendy, various neighbours and friends, and their gang of anthropomorphised work vehicles and equipment (all made of clay).
The show is broadcast in many countries, but originates from Britain.
