GETTING down to a 24-hour sponsored snooker marathon are (left to right) Charlie Behan, Michael Stringfellow, Vic Chambers, and Damian Southworth.

The event was arranged by the Penwortham Council of the Knights of St Columba and held at St Teresa's Social Centre, Penwortham, Lancashire. The marathon coincided with the UK Professional Snooker championship at the nearby Guildhall, Preston.

Marathon proceeds went to the St Catherine's Hospice Appeals.
