CARDINAL DIES IN ROME
Cardinal Lavitrano, Prefect of the Sacred Congregation of Religious, died on Wednesday, aged 76.
His Eminence was formerly Archbishop of Palermo.
His death reduces the Sacred
College to 52 members. Fortyone Cardinals have died during the present Holy Father's pontificate.
