Alderman Maurice Burns who earlier this year had a Papal Knighthood of the Order of St. Gregory conferred upon him by the Holy Father, received the Brief of his appointment at a social in Hornsey, London, Town Hall on Wednesday. Bishop Cashman. Auxiliary of Westminster, made the presentation. At the same ceremony Mr. Francis Leggett of Hornsey received the Bene Merenti medal.
