The Lord Chancellor announced in the Lords on Wednesday that the British Government would support the United Nations plan for the Internationalisation of the whole of the Jerusalem area. He added that it was the Government's wish to safeguard the Holy Places. He was replying to a debate in which the Archbishop of Canterbury and other speakers had pressed for this stand.
