Under the leadership of the Bishop of Leeds (Mgr. H. J. Poskitt), upwards of 600 pilgrims from the West Riding leave today on the Leeds Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes.
The pilgrims include six stretcher eases and 68 suffering from various complaints. An Anglican and a Jew are amongst the pilgrims seeking amelioration at Our Lady's Shrine.
An official handmaid with the pilgrimage is Miss Eileen Lynn of Bramley, Leeds. the story of whose recovery at Lourdes last year has been previously related. Journeying by Folkstone to Calais, the pilgrims are due at Lourdes on Saturday evening.
