Cardinal Seredi

Cardinal Seredi, Primate of Hungary, was the guest of the Abbot and community of Downside Abbey last week during part of his stay in this country. His Eminence arrived at the abbey on Thursday evening, following his creation, on the previous day, as a Doctor of Civil Law, at the Encaenia at Oxford.
The Cardinal remained at Downside over the week-end, singing Mass on the feast of SS. Peter and Paul. On Saturday His Eminence took luncheon with the Bishop of Clifton, and on Sunday paid a visit to Prior Park College.
