Only a few days after the Holy Father had conferred upon him a Knighthood of St. Gregory the Great, Alderman Jeremiah John Sullivan died on Thursday last week at Southend-on-Sea. He was 72.
The announcement of the Papal honour was published last Friday, when he Was already dead.
