MURDER OF NINE PRIESTS Killers Forever Unknown

The murder of the nine Catholic missionaries who had been kidnapped at Chengting was not done by Manchukuo troops, according to the Japanese military spokesman in Peking.
He stated that the murders took place immediately after the Japanese had taken the city. Everything was in the greatest confusion and it was possible that some Chinese, in Japanese uniforms, which they could have taken from the Japanese dead, committed the crime. This theory is supported by the confirmed evidence that three of the murderers spoke perfect Chinese.
