in unity talks
SEVENTY Catholic and Anglican clergymen lived together for three days in Vancouver this week during a residential conference on Christian unity. Chief subjects under discussion were: The Papacy, The Mass and the Virgin Mary. During the conference, committees were set up to continue discussion and plan further joint sessions.
Fr. Edwin Garvey, Principal of St. Mark's Catholic College, Vancouver, said: "We have cleared away some of the human differences and opened the way to a more intelligent discussion of theological matters".
