Lancashire Public Assistance For 1936

Lancashire public assistance committee's estimated expenditure in the forthcoming year is £1,632,656, an increase of £56,588. Outdoor relief accounts are £681,430, an

increase of £27,830. The finance subcommittee has resolved that, subject to the approval of the county council, it will be prepared to consider an increase in coal-contract prices when a satisfactory wages increase has been granted to the miners.
