EXPORT TRADE WITH AUSTRALIA Tour Of Manchester Mission

Members of the MacPherson Fund Mission of Manchester Chamber of Commerce left London on Sunday for Australia.

They are Sir Ernest Thompson, expresident of 1 the chamber, and Mr. H. C. N. Mist special commissioner of the chamber and manager of the department for the promotion of export trade.

Beginning at Melbourne, their tour will embrace Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth.

Captain Euan Wallace, secretary of the Department of Overseas Trade, in a message of good wishes, says the mission will be able to do much to further the reciprocal trade between this country— Lancashire tin particular—and Australia, and thus increase employment and promote prosperity on both sides.

The MacPherson Fund was founded in memory of a former director of the Manchester chamber.

The Rev. Herbert Vaughan, D.D., is seriously ill at a London nursina-home.
