LIMITING GOLF CLUBS An American Decision

The United Stales Golf Association has issued a notice to the effect that unless players in tournaments lighten their bags the association may restrict the number of clubs a competitor may carry, and golfers who are excessively deliberate in their play may be dis qualified.— The Times, 25/1/36.

Our Sports correspondent, " Romany," a lone voice in two continents, has been advocating the limitation of the number of golf clubs for six months past in the columns of the Catholic Herald. Nearly every other sports writer has declared the reform impossible, and the clubmakers and professionals have been up in arms against the suggestion.

" When we say a thing is coming, it comes."
