The Aldine Bible

The New Testament. Vol. III. Edited by M. R. James, O.M., D.Litt., and Delia Lyttelton. (Dent. 5s. net.)

The third of the four volumes of this splendid edition of the Authorised Version is now available, containing the Pauline (except Hebrews) and pastoral epistles. Like its predecessors it has been hand-set in Joanna by Messrs. Hague and Gill and printed by the Temple Press, the text divided into paragraphs like an ordinary book; and, again like its predecessors, it is as handsome, handy and readable a book as can be desired.

The first of Eric Gill's two engravings is not so striking as those that have gone before, but the second, symbolising the life of St. Paul, is a superb example of imagination and skill.
