The Archbishop At Westminster Hall

By the kind arrangement of the Earl Marshal and under the guidance of Viscount FitzAlan, the Archbishop of Westminster was enabled to visit Westminster Hall last Saturday afternoon to pay his homage to the late King lying in state. He was accompanied by his two secretaries, Mgr. Collings and the Rev. Valentine Elwes.

In connection with the death of King George the Fifth the Archbishop of Westminster will preach the sermon at the 12 o'clock Mass at Westminster Cathedral next Sunday, February 2.

King Edward Proclaimed In Florence

A memorial service for King George Was held in the church of St. Joseph by English Catholic residents of Florence. After the service the acting British consul read the proclamation of the accession to the throne of King Edward.

The officiating priest preached in English on the late King, and the address was repeated in Italian.
