A peace agreement has been signed between the warring parties in the Gran Chaco, but this does not yet mean a settlement of all outstanding points.
Two important questions remain to be settled. Paraguayan and Bolivian prisoners must be exchanged and the security of the frontiers must be safeguarded by a neutral zone in the Chaco. Both matters will require long discussion in view of the firm attitude of the two delegations.
However. the signature of the peace treaty inspires hopes that there will be, at least, no further armed hostilities.
