ARMAMENTS INQUIRY SUSPENDED

Keywords: Politics

Senator Nye, chairman of the armaments inquiry of the Senate, has decided to suspend until further notice all research into the war-time business activity of American ammunition manufacturers.

Mr. Morgan, the Wall Street banker, and his associates, who were requested some time ago to remain "within reach of the committee," have already been informed that their appearance for further questioning will not be required.

No explanation for this sudden change of policy has been furnished.
