Film of the National

Mr. James Cagney, who is to star in a film of the Grand National entitled Serjeant Murphy, is one of Hollywood's leading horsemen. Others are Mr. Leslie Howard and Mr. Ronald Colman, keen polo players, and Miss Greta Garbo, whose jumping feats in Queen Christina have yet to be surpassed on the screen. No doubles are substituted for these stars when required to ride for their films.

Mr. Cagney recently asked to be given some choice in the selection of his parts. This one is after his own heart, as he will play the part of an officer who trains, owns, and rides the National winner.
