New World, official Catholic paper of the Archdiocese of Chicago, announces in its issue for September 9 that by 1940 it will be appearing as a daily Catholic newspaper. In the past New World has been distinguished for enterprise and intelligence, and it should do remarkably well as the first Catholic daily, in America of national importance.
