Reds release priests but hold Bishop

Two Maryknoll priests and two sisters who were arrested last December by the Chinese Communists have been released and sent to Hong Kong, the Maryknoll organisation announced last week. A cable received at the Maryknoll, New York, headquarters announced the release of Fr. Joseph van den Bogard and Fr. Allan Dennis, both of New York, and of Sister Marycellina Gredin. of Westbrook, Maine. and Sister Paula Therese Sticka, of New England. North Dakota.

Bishop Francis Ford, of Keying. was placed under house arrest in December and is confined to the Maryknoll mission in Keying with five Maryknoll sisters and two Chinese priests.
