A cross for the Jubilee

THE Juisii,t:i; Cross, above, will stand in Westminster Cathedral plaza in memory of the late Cardinal Basil Hume. The cardinal asked in January 1999 for a major monument highlighting the importance of Christianity in the year 2000. After the Cardinal's death, the idea of a memorial cross was taken up by clergy at Westminster Cathedral.
