BISHOP'S LEAFY CATHEDRAL Mgr. Griffin Says Mass for Scouts The

Bishop-Auxiliary of Birmingham, the Rt. Rev. D. Griffin, said Mass in a leafy cathedral last Sunday morning, :rune 25, in York Wood, where the Boy Scouts of the Midland city go camping.

It. is situated in a beautiful spot, off the beaten track, just outside.

Birmingham, and on a Sunday once a year, Catholic boys receive the privilege of an episcopal visit. Last Sunday was dull, but with the wood in a rich June canopy, the scene made an impressive one.

Bishop Griffin, always particularly welcome among young people—he is much loved by the children at Father Hudson's Homes of which he is Administrator—remained to have chats with the lads, to hear how they enjoy themselves and, incidentally, how they receive valuable instruction, in their happy week-end environment.
