Mgr. John McNulty, Bishop of Nottingham, referred to the golden jubilee of the Order of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace, celebrated this year, when he presided last week at the opening of a garden party at the Convent in Mapperley Road, Nottingham, the mother house of the congregation.
Mgr. McNulty expressed his pride in having the sisters in his diocese. The congregation was founded by his predecessor, Mgr. Bagshawe, and now had nearly 50 convent schools, hospitals and homes for the blind in America and elsewhere.
