Northampton Starts A Travelling Mission "

From a Special Correspondent The Northampton Travelling Mission, the inauguration of which was forecast in The Catholic Herald some weeks ago, has started work.
The first official notice of the Travelling Mission's journeys appears this week, when notice is given of its visit to Diss, and where Mass will be said in a caf4.
to bring the Mass and Sacraments to the scattered Catholics of the seven counties, Northants, Beds, Bucks, Huntingdon, Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge, of the Northampton Diocese, as well as to spread knowledge of the Faith among non-Catholics in remote country districts.
FRAMLINGHAM GAOL
The Bishop has appointed to be priest-in-charge of the Travelling Mission (and at present the only priest), the Rev. Anthony Hulnac, who has just returned front Rome, after doing a course in Canon Law. The standard of the Northampton Travelling Mission was officially raised at Framlingham. Suffolk. where Mass was said in the Corn Hall, 45 of the faithful gathering from the neighbouring countryside. Framlingham is a memorable spot for Catholics because of its castle, where so many of the English Martyrs suffered imprisonment in FranihnFgrha tightly:se!. is based on Ely, where he lives with the parish priest, and Ely is an excellent centre for getting about the huge territory to be served by the Travelling Mission. The Mission has no travelling chapel and the priest depends on the generosity of local Catholics and others to find somewhere to say Mass. No difficulty is anticipated in finding a suitable room for Mass.
