Queen Astrid Church

A committee has been formed for the construction of a memorial church to Queen Astrid at Boitsfort-Brussels. In style and ornamentation this church will be completely Swedish as a reminder of -the Queen's native country.
In it a chapel will be dedicated to St. Bridget, a Swedish Princess, and will revive the cult of this saint, formerly popular in Belgium.
Mgr. Conrad von Preysing, Bishop of Berlin, celebrated on Sunday his sacerdotal silver jubilee. Ordained at Innsbruck on July 26, 1912. Mgr. yon Preysing spent most of his life in Munich where he became preacher in the Cathedral. He was elevated to the Bishopric of Eichstaeelt in 1928 and transferred to Berlin in 1936 after the death of Mgr. Bares.
