Irish people frum various parts of the West Riding were present at the first ccilidhe organised by the Yorkshire liraelie Football League in St. Mary's parochial hall, Bradford, when the " McCorry Cup " was presented to the Bradford team, who have won the eitampionship in its first season.
Supporters of the league were present from Bradford. Keighley, Halifax, Huddersfield and Norinanton. Next season the league will be still further extended.
Mr T. McCorry, of leeighiey, introduced by the Rev. James Farrell, pre
sented the cup to D. Brennan, captain of the Bradford team. The Rev. B. McAdam (chairman of the Bradford and District. Irish Society) presided, and a vote of thanks was proposed to Mr McCorry by the Rev. Thomas Moriarty (St. Peter's Church, Bradford), who was instrumental in forming the Yorkshire league.
Music was provided by the Bradford and district ceilidhs bands.
