ACHIEVEMENTS IN 1938

In Material and Spiritual Fields

The Review of 1938 and its outstanding achievements, as chronicled in part in these pages, is chiefly notable for the energy and enthusiasm with which in so many parishes Catholic Action is on the move.

Stories of the opening of churches, and of plans for, and the building of schools, we tend, despite the heroic self-sacrifice of priests and people that often lay behind them, to think as normal.

But the stories of the active and enthusiastic participation of the laity in the priestly apostolate which have appeared with growing frequency we recognise as signs of the new time, a new world.
