Bishop of Siedlce leads happy retreat in Henley

AN ANNUAL RETREAT of the Polish priests working within the Polish Catholic mission has recently taken place at the centre at Fawley Court, Henley on Thames. Bishop Zbigniew Kiernikowski of Siedlce diocese led the retreat which lasted three days. So far he is the only bishop who has completed all stages of the Neocatechumenal Way.

Some 100 Polish priests who extend pastoral care to Polish Catholic communities scattered throughout England and Wales took part.

The main theme of the retreat in this Year for Priests was “Priesthood as portrayed in Old and New Testament”. Apart from spiritual recharging, the retreat gave the participants a chance to share their experiences and strengthen the priestly community and for that they were all exceedingly grateful.
