Tickets are £3 (£1.50, concessions), including refreshments. the pressure group Shelter jointly hosted a meeting at the Labour Party Conference in Blackpool to look at ways of "creating a level playing field" for the poorest people in the housing market.
"The indiscriminate subsidy paid out through mortgage interest tax relief should be replaced by a system which helps those in greatest need," said Robina Rafferty of CNHC.
The meeting was also addressed by shadow Chancellor Gordon Brown and was chaired by Bishop Patrick Kelly of Salford.
