The Polish Bishops Answer

rhe conference of the Polish Bishops, which took place in early October in Czestochowa, was the first to follow the Warsaw-Lublin denunciation of the Concords t.

The Bishops asked the faithful to remain in close spiritual union with the Holy Father. Stressing that the Pope has sent to the Poles words of consolation and encouragement even during the blackest days of war, that he has generously helped Polish refugees, and always considered Poland as independent and maintained diplomatic relations with the Polish Government. the Bishopsexpress then deep gratitude to him on behalf of the Polish people.

This is the answer of the Polish Bishops to the suggestions that the Church in Poland can exist and even enjoy the support of the State, provided that ties with Rome are cut.
