Maria Goretti Centre for homeless

A Centre dedicated to St. Maria Goretti and designed for homeless girls is nearing completion in Montreal. Two hundred and twenty-five rooms are already available for working girls, and there will eventually be quarters for those who are unemployed and without resources. Residents will total 600.

The building will have its own chapel, study rooms, music, reading and recreation rooms, and snack bar. Fr. Alfred Laplante, C.S.C., the founder, has received warm commendation from Cardinal Leger, Archbishop of Montreal.
