Bishop Bianchi of Hong Kong last week called upon the other nations of the world to follow the example of Great Britain, which had already placed at the disposal of the World Refugee Year the sum of £100,000, a large part of which was earmarked for Hong Kong.
The director of the Catholic Centre in the colony, Fr. Vath. stated that the Government devoted a third of its budget to the refugees from Communist China. Yet this aid was not enough to relieve the great need that existed.
