Forgiveness

If, like Judas, we have betrayed Christ by sin then, unlike Judas, let us kneel at His Cross and ask forgiveness. "Father forgive them, they know not what they do", said Christ on the Cross.

There was the soldier in the courtroom of Caiphas who struck Him with a mailed fist. There was Pilate the politician who condemned Christ in order to retain the friendship of Caesar.

Herod who clothed Christ in the dress of a fool; the soldiers who nailed Him to the Cross. There is you and I who have offended Christ in our ow n way.

For all of us Christ prays and He tells us to forgive others if we wish to be forgiven ourselves. Holy Week is homecoming week for all the prodigals of the world.
