Divorcees 'alienated'

'IT IS NOT surprising that sonic divorced Catholics feel alienated from the Church, given its legalistic appreciation or their position in the past, Bishop McMahon of Brentwood said last week.

Speaking to over 50 members of the Association of Separated and Divorced Catholics at the Catholic Social Centre, Uriminster, Bishop McMahon said that he intended his presence to be a sign of the compassion of the Church and its support for its divorced members, reminding them that it is precisely at times of greatest difficulty that we should be brought to Jesus.
