Fifty-six marriage cases came before the Congregation of the Sacred Rota last year. in seventeen of these cases the marriage was pronounced invalid.
Twenty-one of the fifty-six processes cost no money at all to the two parties by reason of their poverty. Seven of these processes were resolved along the lines hoped for by the litigants,
