SEMINARY
TWENTY students from the White Fathers seminary at Totteridge. North London. received the subdiaconate on Thursday from Bishop Cashman. Among them were nine German students, two Dutch, two Canadian. two Belgian, one French, one American. and one English (Rev. Francis Carey, of Liverpool).
Tomorrow (Saturday) seven students from the same seminary will be ordained to the priesthood by Cardinal Godfrey. Two are from Tanganyika, five from England (Revv. Liam Ludden, Widnes; Michael Singleton, Preston; Aylward Shorter, Ipswich; Peter Wetz, Bromley; Anthony Whelan, Bradford).
Today (Friday), 13 more students from the seminary are to be ordained priests in Holland and Belgium, Five will be ordained priests in France and Ireland tomorrow. On Sunday, two will be ordained priests in Switzerland.
• Rev. William Brennan, from St. Edmund's College, Ware, will also be ordained to the priesthood tomorrow (Saturday) by Cardinal Godfrey.
