CASEʼs websites win awards

TWO CATHOLIC websites were among Britain’s top-rated at this year’s UK Christian Blog and Web Awards.
Judges at the Premier Christian Radio-sponsored competition, held last Friday at St Stephen Walbrook, the Christopher Wren-built Anglican church in the City of London, placed www.life4seekers.co.uk fourth in the Creative category, ahead of 200 other entries.
The site was created by the Catholic Agency to Support Evangelisation (CASE), an agency of the Bishops’ Conference. Mainly reliant on donations from the public, it aims to provide visitors with a “shop window” into Catholic life. Life4seekers also came fifth in the Newcomer category, while one of CASE’s ecumenical websites, rejesus.co.uk, won first place in the Most Successful Evangelistic Blog or Website category.
Mgr Keith Barltrop, CASE director, said: “We’re absolutely delighted with the results and are very grateful to the judges for their recognition of the work our team has put into this project. The internet is a powerful tool of evangelisation and I encourage every Catholic parish and group to consider having an online presence.”
