Lo Pa-Hong's Daughter

The Pope recently received in private audience a group of Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart, accompanied by four Chinese ladies.

One of the latter was Miss Catherine Lo Cheng-tso, daughter of the late President of Chinese Catholic Action, Mr. Joseph Lo Pa-Hong. Another was Mrs. Anna Zeng, who extended hospitality to the Sisters of the Shanghai Mission when their residence was destroyed during the hostilities some months ago.

The Holy Father expressed personally to Miss Lo his high appreciation of the work her father had done for the Church in China and the deep sorrow that he had felt when he had learned of his assassination.

He closed the audience with his Blessing -" a Blessing as great, even greater than China, as wide as the goodness and mercy of God that knows no limits." The Blessing was a special one for those present and for all members of Lo Pa-Hong's family.Fides.
