HOW MANY SPEAK WELSH ONLY?

SIR,—With due respect to, Mr. William Burchill who is so " puzzled," I maintain that the number of those who speak "Welsh only" has nothing to do with the case. I speak French, and love it, but wouldn't want to use it as the exclusive vehicle of my worship or religious instructions. Thousands of Welsh people are realising that they have been robbed of their birthright. Nonconformity preserved the Welsh language which was despised by snobbish Anglicanism.
