The canonisation of two new saints was authorised on Sunday last when the decrees into of the Sacred Congregation of Rites were read to the Pope.
The two new saints will be Blessed Jeanne de Lestonnac, foundress of the Order of the Daughters of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Blessed Vincentia Gerosa the second founder of the Sisters of Charity. The canonisations will take place in 1949.
