New Abbot at Ealing nOM Francis Rossiter, 36,

has been elected Abbot of St. Benedict's, Ealing, West London. in succession to Abbot Cuthbert Hall.
Educated at St. Benedict's School, he entered the monastery then Ealing Priory — in 1949 and was professed in 1950. After his ordination in 1955 he studied in London and at the International Benedictine College at St. Anselm's in Rome, where he obtained a degree in Canon Law.
He joined the staff of St. Benedict's School in 1958 and was appointed games master and second master in 1960. He was also elected an abbey councillor in 1960.
