Pupil wins scholarship

THE MUSICAL talents of Stonyhurst College pupil Sean Seddon have been recognised by a leading British music college which has awarded him a four-year scholarship.

Mr Seddon, of Garstang Road, Broughton, near Preston, heard the good news from the renowned Birmingham Conservatoire, whose president is Sir Simon Rattle.

The scholarship, beginning in the autumn, will cover fees for the Bachelor of Music course. Mr Seddon, a gifted musician, specialises in organ music and singing.
