Mr. Ralph Bland Mr. Ralph Bland. a member of the

gaff of the Birmingham Post since 1923 has died at the age of 67.

Mr. Bland was born in Carmarthen where his father was a journalist. He was educated at Cotton College and served in the First Word War. gaining the rank of major. He started his journalistic career after the war as a sub-editor on the Western Mail.

He was editor of the Birmingham

IPost Year book and Who's Who since its first publication in 1949, and was active in many Catholic professional aud chaeiteble organisations,
