Pressmen elect officers

MR. Michael Higgins (London

Press Exchange) has been elected chairman of "The Keys," Fleet Street branch of the Guild of St. Francis of Sales, in succession to Mr. W. J. Igoe (" Books of the Month").

Mr. George Heseltine (freelance) has been re-elected vice-chairman and Mr. F. Don (district representative of the Hera AdvertiNer and editor of the NURT Journal) sueceeds Mr. Higgins as treasurer.

Mr. J. P. Nicoll (Irish independent) becomes hon. general secretary in succession to Mr. David Murphy (publisher), who has held the post for the past 17 years, To help him in the work Mr. A. Noakes (freelance) was elected hon. membership secretary.

The committee elected at the annual meeting of the branch was Mr. Frank Davey (News Chronicle). Mr. Harold Jaffa (Daily Express) and Mr. Chris Hennessey (Universe).
